The S-13D1 Series, developed by using the CMOS technology, is a 2-channel positive voltage regulator IC which has low dropout voltage, high accuracy output voltage and low current consumption.
A 0.22 µF small ceramic capacitor can be used, and the S-13D1 Series includes a load current protection circuit that prevents the output current from exceeding the current capacitance of the output transistor and a thermal shutdown circuit that prevents damage due to overheating. Also, C / F type in the S-13D1 Series has a built-in delay function that sets the difference of rising time in a channel.

Battery Protection IC for 2-Serial Cell Pack S-8262A Series
The S-8262A Series is a protection IC for 2-serial-cell lithium-ion / lithium polymer rechargeable batteries and includes high-accuracy voltage detectors and delay circuits.
The S-8262A Series has an alarm signal output pin (AO pin) which outputs the alarm detection signal.
The alarm detection signal is output prior to the charge control FET signal by overcharge detection.

Seiko Instruments Inc. (SII) proudly introduces new Chip-type Electric Double Layer capacitor, "CPX3225A" as electrical storage device and power source device to the growing market of energy-harvesting, Near Field Communication (NFC) chip, and wireless sensor network systems, etc. The "CPX" series successfully reduced the internal resistance to one-third of the conventional EDLCs, and the leak current to approximately one-tenth, while keeping the world's thinnest and smallest class size. The S-8225A Series includes a voltage detection circuit with high accuracy and a delay circuit, and can monitor the status of 3-serial to 5-serial cell lithium-ion rechargeable battery in single use. By switching the voltage level which is applied to the SEL1 pin and SEL2 pin, users are able to use the S-8225A Series for 3-serial to 5-serial cell pack.

High Ripple-Rejection Low Dropout High Output Current CMOS Voltage Regulator S-13A1 series
The S-13A1 Series is a positive voltage regulator with a low dropout voltage, high output voltage accuracy, and low currentconsumption developed based on CMOS technology.A 2.2 μF small ceramic capacitor can be used, and the very small dropout voltage and the large output current due to the built-in transistor with low on-resistance are provided. The S-13A1 Series includes a load current protection circuit that prevents the output current from exceeding the current capacitance of the output transistor and a thermal shutdown circuit that prevents damage due to overheating. In addition to the types in which output voltage is set inside the IC, a type for which output voltage can be set via an external resistor is added to a lineup. Also, the S-13A1 Series includes an inrush current limit circuit to limit the excess inrush current at power-on and at turn-on the ON / OFF pin. High heat radiation HSOP-6 and small SOT-89-5, HSNT-6A packages realize high-density mounting.

The S-5844A Series is a temperature switch IC which detects the temperature with a temperature accuracy of ±2.5°C. The output inverts when temperature reaches the detection temperature. The S-5844A Series restores the output voltage when the temperature drops to the level of release temperature.

Ultra-Small Package High-Precision Voltage Detector S-1009 series
The S-1009 Series is a super high-accuracy voltage detectordeveloped using CMOS process. The detection voltage is fixed internally with an accuracy of ±0.5%. It operates with super low current consumption of 270 nA typ.The release signal can be delayed by setting a capacitor externally. Delay time accuracy is ±15%. TEMPERATURE SWITCH IC S-5843A Series
The S-5843A Series is a temperature switch IC which detects the temperature with a temperature accuracy of ±2.5℃. The output inverts when temperature reaches the detection temperature. This IC restores the output voltage when the temperature drops to the level of release temperature.
The S-5843A Series operates at the lower power supply voltage of 1.65 V and its current consumption is 4.5 µA typ. due to CMOS configuration.
A temperature sensor with the negative temperature coefficient, a reference voltage generation circuit, a comparator and a delay circuit are integrated on one chip, and enclosed into the small packages SNT-6A and SOT-23-5.

Super-Low Output Low Dropout CMOS Voltage Regulator S-11L10 Series
S-11L10 Series, developed using the CMOS technology, is a positive voltage regulator IC which has the low output voltage, the high-accuracy output voltage and the low current consumption (150 mA output current).A 1.0 µF small ceramic capacitor can be used. It operates with low current consumption of 9 µA typ.The overcurrent protection circuit prevents the load current from exceeding the capacitance of output transistor. The power-off circuit ensures longer battery life.Various capacitors, also small ceramic capacitors, can be used for this IC more than for the conventional regulator ICs which have CMOS technology.Furthermore a small SOT-23-5 and SNT-6A(H) packages realize high-density mounting.

The S-8550/8551 Series is a CMOS synchronous rectification step-down switching regulator which mainly consists of a reference voltage circuit, an oscillator, an error amplifier, a phase compensation circuit, a PWM controller, an under voltage lockout circuit (UVLO), a current limit circuit, and a power MOS FET. The oscillation frequency is high at 1.2 MHz, so a high efficiency, large output current, step-down switching regulator can be achieved by using small external parts.The built-in synchronous rectification circuit makes achieving high efficiency easier compared with conventional step-down switching regulators. A ceramic capacitor can be used as an output capacitor. Seiko Instruments (SII) announced availability of the S-25A series of SPI Serial EEPROMs, specifically designed for use in the highly demanding automotive market. The ground-breaking S-25A EEPROMs set industry performance records by achieving 500,000 writes at 125ºC, and up to 50 year data retention.Today's automobile designs increasingly require higher performance EEPROMs in on-board systems that control the car's operation, fuel consumption, and ensure the passenger's comfort and safety. Along with the requirement for increased EEPROM capacity, automotive applications also require extremely high reliability and security. The SII S-25A series was developed to specifically answer the needs of the automotive market.While conventional EEPROMs typically have significantly degraded write performance at high temperature, the S-25A series assures performance of up to 500, 000 writes at 125ºC, and 1,000,000 writes at 85ºC, along with retention of the EEPROM data for as long as 50 years.

As such, the electronic components used in these products need to be smaller and thinner to facilitate these more compact packages.With that industry demand in mind, Seiko Instruments Inc. (abbr. "SII", President: Masafumi Shimbo, Headquarter: 1-8 Nakase Mihama-ku Chiba-shi Chiba, Tel:+81-43-211-1111) will proudly introduce the world's thinnest and smallest (1*) chip-type electric double layer capacitor, part number CP3225A, in October 2008.The SII Electric Double-Layer Capacitor (EDLC) functions as a rechargeable electrical storage device, and is commonly used for mobile-phone memory and clock back-up during the primary battery's run out or replacement. Somewhat different than the coin cell battery that may often be used in these applications, this new device contains activated carbon, which has large surface area, in its electrode, while using organic solvent in the electrolyte.
