The cooperation between LC-Tec Displays AB (LC-Tec) and Seiko Instruments Inc. (SII) announced on November 19, 2010, is progressing according to plan. The first 15.6" polarization modulator prototypes for active retarder 3D displays will be demonstrated at SID Display Week, 49th International Symposium, Seminar and Exhibition in Los Angeles, US, during May 17th - 19th, 2011.The cooperation between the companies has been focused on joint development with respect to a high-speed liquid crystal device for stereoscopic 3D applications. LC-Tec Displays AB (LC-Tec), a development-oriented high-tech company in the display industry with focus on 3D applications, and Seiko Instruments Inc. (SII), an electronic products and services company, have today announced that they have signed a LETTER OF INTENT (LOI) outlining that the parties wish to establish a relationship and to confirm the current intention to do joint development with respect to a high-speed liquid crystal device for stereoscopic 3D applications.
